Co-oighreachd | Comhoidhreacht | Inheritance

A short film by the award-winning Irish director Seán Breathnach, starring young Gaels from Muile/Mull and An Cheathrú Rua/Carraroe (Ireland) and celebrating shared language and culture. Featuring a Q&A with the Director and Scottish cast, and live music and song.

Seán’s feature film debut, Foscadh (‘Shelter’), was chosen by the Irish Film and Television Academy to represent Ireland in the Best International Feature category at the 2022 Oscars. The film marks 1,500 years since the birth of Calum Cille (Saint Columba).

Director Seán Breathnach’s feature film debut Foscadh (‘Shelter’) was awarded the Best First Feature Film prize at the 2021 Galway Film Fleadh, the Golden Tree for the Best Film at the Kimolos International Film Festival and the Best Director award at the Newport Beach Film Festival in California. Seán's Screen Ireland funded short film Maidhm, has played at festivals in Europe, North America, and Asia.
