Green Awareness Programme: Adults Wild Craft Soil Painting Workshop

Funded by the Pebble Trust as part of our Green Awareness programme, join the artist Jemima Hall for a kids wild craft workshop where you’ll learn how to make natural paints from soil.

Learn how to make natural paint from soils of all colours collected from all over the UK and the world! Using pestle and mortars we crush the soils up finely, add in a water and binder (honey or cherry tree gum) and create a whole range of colours to work with. You can also use wild inks, and add berries, flowers, leaves or coffee to the mix! Using shells as palettes, feathers, sticks and pine needles as utensils and working onto fabric, bark and paper we will create fun designs to take home. Additionally, we will learn how to make natural ink from Oak Galls.

Tickets are Free but please book early, only 8 spaces available
