An open invitation to meet the Curators of An Tobar and Mull Theatre.

Here at An Tobar and Mull Theatre we’re dedicated to supporting the widest possible spectrum of artists, craftspeople and creative practitioners. It’s important to us that we nurture grassroots creativity across Mull and the surrounding islands and that we share our resources as widely as we reasonably can.

We know that for many people based on the Ross of Mull, it’s a challenge to come all the way to Tobermory and North Mull to visit the theatre or arts centre or to take part in our Creative Learning programme. That’s why, over the last year, we’ve been bringing more and more of our work to the Ross so that people can enjoy seeing or taking part on their own doorstep. We’re going to keep going with our commitment to be a cultural hub for the whole of Mull and so you’ll see even more events rooted in the Ross over the next few years.

With that in mind, we’d like to extend an invitation to artists and creative people of all kinds to come and meet the team behind our Theatre, Music and Visual Arts programmes at our ‘Meet the Curators’ surgery on 24th November at Bunessan Hall.

We’re offering 30 minute slots for artists to come and meet us over a cup of tea to talk about their work and to discuss how we might be able to support their practice in future. Perhaps you need advice on making your first ever Creative Scotland funding application, want to suggest an event or artist that you’d love to see in our programme, need help finding other artists to share equipment or studio space or perhaps you just need a creative friend to bounce ideas off. We can’t promise to give you everything you ask for, but we do promise to help you as best we can and support you to get what you need to flourish as an artist.

To book an appointment to come and get to know us at Bunessan Hall click here  and select the person you would like to talk with (please don’t book the general calendar, please book a curator’s calendar).

30 min slots are available from 12 noon until 4pm.
