Lauren Collier Band at An Tobar
Following our anniversary celebrations and the opening of our first exhibition of the year, we’re delighted to welcome the superb Lauren Collier Band for our first gig of the year at An Tobar.
Lauren Collier is a Scottish fiddle player and singer whose music brings together Scottish traditional music with influences from around the world. Originally from Ayrshire and now based in Glasgow, she is known for her expressive fiddle playing, captivating vocals and distinctive arrangements that blend tradition with contemporary creativity.
A graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Traditional Music Master’s programme, Lauren was nominated for Up and Coming Artist of the Year at the 2024 MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards. Her debut album, Uddevalla, draws inspiration from musical traditions in Sweden, Haiti, India, Indonesia and Greece.
Celebrating the similarities and differences between cultures, Lauren’s music brings together traditional songs and melodies, original compositions and contemporary arrangements. She has also contributed to several series of Outlander and Outlander: Blood of My Blood.
Having performed across the UK and internationally, Lauren creates immersive musical experiences that connect audiences through tradition, cultural exchange and storytelling.
