Evening of Song:
Scotland and Nature

Celebrated pianist Max Mostovetski and distinguished tenor Takahiro Sasaki return from Germany to our Hebridean stage, presenting a richly evocative programme of classical masterworks. With works by Beethoven, Schubert, and Brahms at its core, this recital weaves through the lyrical landscapes of Romantic Europe while drawing inspiration from Scotland’s own musical and natural heritage.

At the heart of the evening lies Beethoven’s exquisite ‘Scottish Songs’, Op. 108-an elegant fusion of folk melody and classical form. The performance will be accompanied by insightful commentary from the artists, offering a deeper appreciation of the composers’ lives, inspirations, and historical context. A treat for connoisseurs of art song and lovers of classical music alike.
