The song of the nomad pre-dates the scribbling of a settler.
Joseph Brodsky

The journey of the thought is controlled by the journey of its sounds. Each passage has its own nexus of sounds, which make the words belong to each other. This is a highly emotional subject. To convince, the words have to feel absolutely right together.

Ruth Padell ‘The Poem and the Journey’
