Technical Bursary Callout

Are you an early career theatre maker from the Highlands and Islands?

Would you like to expand your knowledge and be able to talk more confidently about the technical requirements of your work?

An Tobar and Mull Theatre want to support emerging theatre makers to feel more confident in collaborating with technical specialists.

In response to Vivid Roots Collective’s recent Futures Report, An Tobar and Mull Theatre are offering a bursary for six early career theatre makers from the Highlands and Islands to expand their technical knowledge. The recipients of the bursary will come to Mull for the weekend, stay in our apartment in Tobermory, and spend the day working with An Tobar and Mull Theatre’s Technical and Production Manager, Louise Gregory. The day will cover many of the technical aspects of theatre-making, from simple terminology to a more in-depth look at how to get the best from your sound and lighting. We want those taking part to leave with the knowledge and confidence to collaborate more effectively with technical specialists on their future projects.

Friday 25th August 2023 – Arrival

Saturday 26th August 2023 – Technical Workshop

Sunday 27th August 2023 – Departure

(Accommodation will be provided on a single occupancy basis in a shared apartment in Tobermory on the 25th and 26th August 2023. Travel expenses will not be provided).
