Warm Welcome Crowdfunding

We are very excited to announce that we have started a crowdfunding project to help fund our Warm Space for the community, at An Tobar Café. Our goal is to raise £2,000 and we would be grateful if you could consider donating. The Coop Warm Spaces Funding Boost will match any amount you contribute - up to £250 - so if you donate £10, they will also donate £10. Every contribution, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated. Please follow the link below to access our project page to make your donation. Thank you for your support!

What are we crowdfunding for?

Times are hard for everyone, so we’re utilising our space at An Tobar and have created a new Snug in the old office at An Tobar Café. Anyone can come along, feel safe, and be comfortable this winter. With no obligation to buy, you can come and enjoy the beautiful relaxing space we've created, where low cost drinks are available, and a pay it forward scheme enables those who need it to have a no cost mug of warming soup, tea, horlicks or coffee. With a library of books, games and toys, the Snug is child and dog friendly, and we look forward to welcoming you.

Why are we crowdfunding?

Severe budget cuts have meant we are having to be creative about our offerings at An Tobar and Mull Theatre. Our heating costs, like everyone else's have sky rocketed, and the Co-op are offering a match funding scheme to help communities create and sustain Warm Spaces, so every pound raised on this Crowdfunder will be matched by the Co-op. 2 for the price of one!

How we’ll spend the money raised

The money raised will help us pay for heating the extra space, as well as enabling us to provide low cost hot drinks. We are open 10am-4pm, 7 days a week, all year round and in spite of the financial challenges, we hope to be able to maintain these opening times to provide a comfortable warm space for the community.
