RSA200: Celebrating Together
As part of the Royal Scottish Academy’s bicentenary celebrations, painter and filmmaker Ronald Forbes RSA has curated a programme
of moving image work by Royal Scottish Academicians and RSA award winners. We are
delighted to be screening this programme in 2026 as a partner to the RSA.
The programme includes a wide variety of work reflecting artists’ moving image practice in Scotland from the past and present. It includes work from the RSA Collection and work being made today.
George Donald RSA:
Tutored Life Drawing Workshops 2026
As part of the Royal Scottish Academy’s 200th anniversary celebrations throughout 2026, we are working with partners across Scotland and beyond to shine a spotlight on the Academy’s past, present and future. RSA200: Celebrating Together will be a unique and far-reaching festival of Scottish art and architecture.
Integral to the RSA’s history is the Academy’s Life School at The Mound in Edinburgh, where fine art, including life drawing, was taught until the formation of Edinburgh College of Art in 1907 (from where the Life School continued to function until 1930).
To highlight this, we are working with artist George Donald RSA to deliver a series of one-day life drawing classes in 2026 at An Tobar and Mull Theatre.
