Alongside the VE Day film, we’re running dynamic creative workshops where young people will compose, record, and sync an original soundtrack—culminating in a live performance at the film’s premiere.

Guided by the director, participants will uncover how sound brings stories to life. They’ll explore storyboarding, research, and the art of turning ideas into music, before composing their own pieces for the score.

From mixing to syncing with film, students will experience the full process of shaping sound for the screen—discovering how music and image together create real emotional impact.

The journey ends on a high: at the premiere, the film will be shown with part of the soundtrack performed live by the young composers themselves. A powerful moment of creativity, collaboration, and celebration.
